19th century French vendange or wine tasting table handcrafted of pine near Bordeaux, having a round four plank tilt-top with original drawer, raised on a trestle base with butterfly wedge support, circa 1890s. These French tables was originally used in the vineyards for the workers to have lunch, and if someone happened to stop by they would be offered a glass of wine. When not in use, this rustic vintner's table would have been folded and stored in the barn. The addition of the drawer to this particular table signifies that workers were paid their daily wage from this table as well. Would work great in a wine cellar or as a small breakfast or dining table, and with no apron, has plenty of room for your legs without bumping your knees. As a space saving option, the table can be stored up against the wall with the top vertical.
