✩Natural Peruvian Opal✩
This type of Opal does not have the bright "flash" or "pinfire" usually associated with Australian Opal, instead it has an beautiful ethereal opalescent inner glow.
Blue Peruvian opal (also known as Andean Opal) is highly associated with the throat Chakra. It is believed by ancient cultures as the stone of courage and ingenuity. The Peruvian Blue Opal is also known as Peacock Opal, a relatively rare gemstone found only in Andes Mountain in Peru. This national stone of Peru and is considered to be a gift from Pachamama, the earliest Inca Goddess of Fruitfulness and Mother Earth.
Opals are one of the Birthstones for October (along with Tourmaline, Beryl, Jasper and Coral).

✩Variations/findings✩
These earrings come with a hoop style ear-wire (as pictured) which are suitable for regular/normal pierced ears. These earring hoop findings can also be worn through gauged tunnels, I have tried this style of ear-wire trough my own 8mm metal and silicone tunnels and they hang fine and look fabulous.
For a small extra charge, I can replace the current ear-wires with:
*non-pierced/clip-on findings
*ear-wire made from Niobium in a "fish/shepherds" hook style.
Niobium is physiologically inert and thus hypo-allergenic. For this reason, Niobium is found in many internal medical devices. Niobium can also be electrically heated and anodised, resulting in a wide array of colours using a process known as reactive metal anodising, which is useful in making jewellery. Its natural colour is a silvery grey, in this instance it is anodised to an antiqued bronze colour.
Niobium is an excellent choice for anyone with sensitive skin, especially for those allergic to nickel, or the metals added to 925 Silver or 9ct Gold alloys.
